So, 'Part TWO' of this week's @EchoChamberFP was one of those serendipitous situations!!!
I'd tried to look at the film earlier in the year, but things didn't come together. Out of the blue though I got a message from the director, and we got things popping! Which was fantastic, cause this film.....the psychological rollercoaster is crazy! You don't know where it's going and then when we get there, the questions!!! And of course, we sit-down with this master storyteller in the making, to find out things like, what that feature debut vibe felt like. The freedom of working with such a great script and cast, the pressures of the subject matter and a LOT more!!!
'House of Abraham' is the directorial debut from Lisa Belcher, and written by Lukas Hassel. A woman (Natasha Henstridge) looking for an end to her suffering, checks in to the House of Abraham, home to a mysterious cult (Lukas Hassel, Lin Shaye, Gary Clarke, Marval A. Rex, Sean Freeland, William Magnuson, Khali Sykes, Kelsey Pribilski) that promises a way out. She soon discovers all is not what it seems and must plan an escape before it's too late

Lisa is an award-winning director, actor, producer, and writer with experience working in both Hong Kong and the US. She is the founder of Jump Rock Pictures, a production company based in Austin. Lisa has directed and acted in numerous successful short films that have made the festival rounds. Guest of Honor, a heartfelt drama, garnered 23 awards and was acquired by a major non-profit. Javelina Run, a comedy western starring Lorelei Linklater and Wally Welch, has also been featured at various festivals, earning multiple awards, including Best Director. It was picked up by Shorts TV and is available on Amazon Prime. The film's soundtrack was honored with a spot on the prestigious 2020 Best Short Soundtracks album released by Movie Score Media. Additionally, Lisa directed a TV series sizzle for a young adult fantasy thriller, which is currently being packaged and pitched by APA. Her directorial debut feature is House of Abraham.
